That is an incorrect answer from Australia. You actually have a 1992 model. Yamaha had different models in the US and Canada. Yamaha did not start selling Yamaha brand outboards in the US until 1984. You can go to the Yamaha-motor website and verify what I have said. By the way, I was born in Tucson so you can believe me.

I stand corrected, there was a model code 6H3 for a 70 made in 1983 don't know where it was made.

It would be best if you started your own thread, the one you are attempting to hijack is from 2007 and your model # does not look like a US motor, so you may want to state where you and it is from
