hi everyone trying to find out what year this 40 hp evinrude is the serial number is jo2554 and model number is 401153b been struggling can anyone help please thanks in advance.
thanks racerone i went back and realized i had put too many ones. ok now my question is my motor seems like its not going full speed it starts and throttles fine but looking at videos of people with 40 hp going full throttle i know im not pushing what i should be i'm probably trolling at best i've called around and no one will look at my motor because of how old it is can someone please point me in some directions please. thanks in advance
Compression test first.---Followed by a real spark test.---Force both leads to try and jump a gap of 1/4" or more.-No need to report " good spark " with plugs laying on the block !
