what year is this boat???

i have now recieved a boat that was my granddads and no-one knows the year the boat.<br /> <br /><br />i know it is a DURACRAFT I/O 4cyl.volvo penta sold by SEARS.<br /><br />it has a front glass like a 57 chevy car.<br /><br />someone told me it was a runabout??<br /><br />i found the serial # 25988 but even duracraft could not tell me anything about that.<br /><br />it is sold aluminium, and the motor is still in working condition, but still needs some tlc<br /><br />hope someone knows more about this boat than me because the manufacter doesn't know anything.<br /><br />any help will be nice<br /><br />thanks jwilemon

Hi there<br /><br />To identify a boats year here in Canada, check the Hull Identification number. These are numbers and letters ingraved usually on the upper corner of the transom. <br />The year is the last two digits.<br /><br />Enjoy your new boat<br />Debbie
