What year is this Engine?

The Outboard is a Mercury 1500 S/N 7049011 inline 6 @ 150 HP and it has the blue lettering / etc on the cowling. What year is this motor? Thanks

Without looking I can tell you it's mid 70's. Parts are ordered by serial number, not model year.<br /><br />-W

Thanks Guys, Turns out the motor is a 1975 Canadian motor. That is why the serial number is odd
