Hi
yesterday I bought a glastron with a mariner engine. no mentioning of the Horse power but last owner claims from his previous owner that it is a 90 hp.

anyway, I have wrote down all the serial numbers I found on the engine. maybe someone can help me find the year it was built and any other details.

also, does serial number indicate the HP of th engine?

in case the model is identified, can anybody snd me the manual for this engine?

the numbers are:
37-818637-12

WME-MG-3301-813773-0

MS 90376-24YNAS820?24A

any thanks for the help

I will certainly have more questions regarding service, maintainance and problems in the relevant forum. Bought this engine after few months without use and some parts stuck, but it runs!:)

That is a very fuzzy picture. Does it have any numbers on it?

Indeed, what on earth is that supposed to be??!!!
If the OP would take a picture of the engine cowlings etc, he'll get a pretty quick answers of what year it should roughly be. Then use serial numbers to pin point exact year..

Well if you read the posts, you would see that he does not have the serial numbers. I never go by the cowlings as I have seen too many of them altered or on different engines.

Well Gerrry, if you re-read the posts, you will clearly see that he never stated that "he does not have the serial numbers", he mearly stated that he wrote down all the numbers he could see/find.
That is not to say that there isn't any serial numbers present, it could be that he just didn't see them. And as regards to cowlings, you should again re-read my post. Regardless if they are wrong, its going to give an indication of its a straight 6, or later looper, optimax, 4 stroke engine etc etc. It will give a rough idea of what engine we are talking about here rather than just " the previous owner claims its a mariner 90hp"..

hi gery. yes, it has a number. It is the third line of numbers i wrote in my post. my intention of attaching the picture was only to make sure it is the part you meant. the camera couldnot take upclose picture. according to your opinion that none is a s/ns means I didnot get the numbers correctly. today I will try to clean that area and try to get all the faint numbers.

Sorry, but those numbers do not mean anything. They are actually more commonly used in aviation and are just capplugs/dustcovers. Did you buy this boat from a guy in the IDF. Maybe that's where the plugs came from.

Sure wish I could help you but without a s/n or model number, I can't do much.

I believe it is 1993 engine, 90 HP made in Japan. Is that so? I already know it has 3 cylinders...

sameh;

If you send me a PM with an email address, I can send you the manual for that s/n.

I will have to see what I can dig up for the 0B s/n of the lower part of the engine.
