im looking at a 15 hp mercury thats up for sale. the owner said the serial # is 0C141924 can anyone tell me what year it is? thanks

That would make it an 1989 model.

he is asking 600$ for it and says its in good shape , is that a reasonable price?

I'm bad a prices since I don't know your market well. Seems to me it's pretty much fair though. I would want to check compression, lower unit lube (for water and metal chunks), and ideally run it on the water before buying.

the guy lives on the the lake and i have a compression tester all i need to do now is go check it out. thanks for the reply.
