I currently have Cyberlink Power DVD vm 5.0 It plays nice, but not all the features I want are enabled in this version. I want reverse playback, frame by frame advance and backup, really good freeze frame, snapshot capture and video capture with various output formats.

Any suggestions?

Edit: My new avatar picture is a video snapshot by Cyberlink 5.0 from the original video linked to in my signature. It looks good shrunk to avatar size, (used Photoshop) but viewed full size, it is not as sharp as it could be. I know video is low res, but shapshots from DVI should be clearer than what I'm getting now from Cyberlink.

Mark42, We use Cyberlink here at our plant to view DVDs with. It has about all the features you mentioned. I do not know of a software player that will capture video. You can capture video using a DVD ripper to capture a video title set then edit it to get a portion of the video. As far as the quality of the capture, a DVD is still around 30 frames per second so each frame is not going be very sharp. Even if you have an LCD screen the video is still NTSC 525 lines 60 fps.
