Hi can any one tell me Check Valve and Bleed Hose are for? Mercury 45 4cyl classic fifty .Thanks and regards P1

Fuel tends to puddle behind the reed valves. The bleed system pipes it to the opposite cylinder for consumption. Check valves are necessary to prevent a miss at idle.

Needs to be in good shape for a smooth idle.
