anyone know how much this boat weighs?
1967 Starcraft Islander 21',(AL) I/O.
and how much it would weigh if the I/O was removed?
considering converting one to an O/B.

btw, NADA only goes back to '71 and lists this model at 1540lbs. how much should be deducted if the I/O is removed?

It would depend on how big the I/O, but 700 lbs would probably be a good ballpark.

Definitely. Any outboard up to probably 200 hp will = a weight savings. At 350 I'd guess your mounting a 130 or thereabouts?

You'll definitely be able to plane it out, and with the weight you will be saving I'd definitely think you could get the boat at least into the high 20's. Great looking boat by the way :)

won't be quite as much as i/o minus ob because the transom will require some beefing up to handle weight and thrust loads that are different different than i/o.
