Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum here and had a question that will probably get a lot of different answers, but here goes. I have a 1972 Marauder 24 1/2 ft. with twin 165's. It is a inboard/outboard. It has a electric windlass, marine radio, fish finder/gps, sink, nice small cabin, trim tabs, 3 axle trailer with all new bearings, brakes, bearing buddies, excellent tires. It is basically a offshore fisher. All wood work has been refinished or replaced. Even though it is a older boat it is in very good condition and runs well. Now the question. Any ideas on the value? Any help would be appreciated. I live in the So. Cal. area. Thanks for your help.

Re: What's it worth?

Sonaroro - Welcome & I hope you come back often.

As to your question - With a boat that is 32 years old - even if in great condition with all the toys - there is little chance that any guess that we come up with based on a few sentences here would carry much weight with a potential buyer. Try traderonline.com and look for boats like yours and make a few calls (making like a potential buyer).

A lot depends on the mind set of a potential buyer and how knowledgeable a boater he is. If you want to get top dollar (whatever you decide that to be) make sure that everything looks as clean and well taken care of as you can make it.

Re: What's it worth?

It is a fiberglass hull. The wood I was speaking of is the trim inside the boat itself. It also has a six by two foot teak swimdeck on the back. From what I understand is that they were originally designed by Richard Hunt and Son, Ernest Kansler and William Crealock as a affordable fisher/racer/cruiser. It is suppose to have extra strings and a eight foot beam. It does have some ummp... to it when you turn it up. Like I said, it is a very nice boat (even if 35 yrs. old). Anyway, Thank you everyone for your comments and I look forward to more.
