What's the difference between different brands of propellers?

I have a 1992 Four Winns Horizon 200 with 5.8L Cobra drive, originally rated at 240HP (215 prop HP). I'm running the 19P aluminum Michigan Wheel prop that came with the boat when I bought it in 2009.

I don't have any complaints about the performance, but the prop is a little beat up and I'd like to get a new one; I'll keep the old one as a spare.

How should I choose a manufacturer for a new 19P prop? I can't seem to find any information online to differentiate the manufacturers. How can I tell if a prop is cupped?

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.

Unfortunately I'm not the guy to help you prop design details. Basically most prop companies
make basic props and special props. If you read the helps on the prop store page it will help.
Props seem to be a mystery product with lots of words about performance but not too much detail about deseign. If you read some of the posts especially the faster higher hp setups you will pick up terms and brands that turn up with the more high tech designs.
If you want to duplicate your present performance stick with brand, model and material.
You could also get your prop repaired at a prop shop.
If you read the stickies at the top of the page and get us as much detail as you can and
suggest some changes you would like to make, hole shot, water sports, speed, best cruising, etc there are those here with plenty of knowledge that can help.
