Can someone please tell me what the difference is between these two yamaha props? Besides the obvious that one is painted stainless steel and the price.

Yamaha Part Number: 6G5-45974-03-98
Yamaha Part Number: 68G-45974-00-00

Did some looking and can't find those exact numbers. Any stampings on the prop proper, like dia and pitch? Got pictures? Both SS? If not, I can speculate on probable differences if you know the diameter and pitch.

If both are SS and one is painted and the other isn't, that difference could be increased corrosion protection. Back in 1973 OMC came out with a Stainless Steel Teflon coated (black) props to replace the injury prone aluminums on their higher hp engines of the day. Teflon was an additional corrosion fighter (sealant coating) as some of the props that had worn the teflon off, showed specks of rust where the IRON element in the SS corroded. Nowadays they must have upped the Nickel in the recipe as good quality SS don't corrode all that much....not around salt water so I can't vouch for usage there.

Both have the same diameter and pitch,
They may be the same prop, one painted, the other polished.
However, they may have different Blade shape and area, different Cupping and/or Rake.
Without Images of the props, I can't make any defined assessment of the differences.

Good bye you Indian spammer. I see you moved from Mumbai to Kanpur.

Hiding links in your response is shameful!
