I have two PayPal accounts - business and personal. I rarely use the personal account for anything. I haven't logged into it for about 5 months, this morning I did expecting it to say $0.00. Nope. I had 140 bucks in there! I completely forgot about it! :D <br /><br />A few months ago I found a $50 gift check I got from someone I forgot about for around 9 months. <br /><br />Better than winning the lottery! What's the most money you've ever forgot about and found again?

$120 "slush-fund"....I was stashing it in between two VHS tapes. I recently went thru my VHS tapes to weed-out the turkeys, and transfer the keepers to DVD... <br />"Woopie!!! Mamma, git yer Sunday-go-ta-meetin breeches on...We're going out for dinner!"<br /><br />The "slush-fund" was originally intended to go toward a new trailer. I had forgotten about the funds,as i sold the boat and nasty trailer underneath it.

About ten years after I got out of the Navy I was inventorying my library and found my Bluejacket"s Manual. As I leafed through it I found ten $2 bills I had stashed there as bookmarks in preparation for advancement in rate exams. :) <br /><br />When I was stationed at Norman, OK, the city got very unfriendly toward the military students at the Navy Air Technical Training Center there.<br /><br />The Navy's solution was to pay us in all $2 bills for about 6 months. When the city fathers realized how much of the local economy was suddenly in $2 bills their tune changed a bit. :)

BTDT a few times and its always a treat.<br />Not exactly the same but....<br />Mrs.Link collects the "new" quarters with the states and Susan B. She rolls them according to state etc. A few months ago she decieded to count them.. wow over 700 dollars!<br />But it's not spending money so it doesn't count! :(

Many years ago I stashed the rent under the carpet in this apartment I had, because we were going out drinking and I didn't want to carry that much cash on me [$320.00}.Came back from drinking tied a good one on and crashed out. Next day woke up with a mother of a hangover and I couldn't find the rent money.Went around to see numerous friends to borrow the rent money.Lived there for 3 more years and then moved, while moving we lifted up the carpet and Bingo the lost rent money was there,so of coarse we partied,it was great finding it since I was an apprentice mechanic at the time and times were tough.

I found a doll head and sold it for $1700. does that count.. I didn't know it was worth that much. Boy was I shocked.. E-bay sale. High bidder was just tickled pink and I was quite happy too.

$2700.00 in a dormant bank account that was forgotten about   somehow. Happened around the time my wife and I got married, moved twice, had a child and bought a house all within a year. At one point 3 years later we were going thru and reviewing the finances and came across an old bank book that we couldn't account for. In all the chaos and excitment at the time we had forgotten to close out one of our accounts and because we had moved so often the bank was unable to contact us or send any statements. That was a sweet surprise :p . Boy I could use that money now :D
