For all of you old school sb chevy who know the 5.7 liter like the back of your hand, could you please tell me what this curious object is thats mounted directly beside the distributor cap? (red arrow points at it)
If the engine was modern, I'ld be thinking vacuum something and emissions...but in '83 we didn't think along those lines...
