GM is going to discontinue the S10 and blazer line. I don't know if they use the 4.3L, v6, in any other vehile, so what is going to happen as it was the mainstay of the I/O V6 market.

Any insights to what is going to happen?
Chevy's introducing a SUV called the Equinox in 05. Its a small SUV that will be equipped w/ a v-6. I would imagine 4.3. I pesonally don't see them getting rid of this motor, which is basically the 350 chevy with 2 cylinders cut off of it. Just my opinion though
Just because the engine is not used for cars any longer does not mean it's a goner. Look at the 3.0 OMC/Merc. Has not seen suty in a car for a long time but you can still buy one brand new.
GM does have intentions of discontinuing the 4.3 Vortec in the near future and replace it with their new inline 5 cylinder and the old vunrable 250 c.i. inline six cylinder, now made out of aluminum, with a overhead cam.

Don't be surprised to begin seeing these engines enter the marine world in the near future.
