What's with the embedded advertising

I've noticed lately that when I'm on my usual sites,(iboats,craigslist) there are highlighted words that turn into an ad of some kind. Has anybody else seen this or do I need to start hunting for something bad on my system?

Sounds like a malware issue iboats does not use that tactic and you need to scan. I visit CL daily and have never seen it there either.

I did notice Fire Fox opens with a window saying something about coupon viewing. It gives the option to turn it off. I turned it off and will see if things change. Thanks BTW I'm on 10.0.2

Update: ran housecall and came back O.K.

Mine started doing that out of the blue one day. I got to looking around and I found an add-on in explorer that said "you need this" or close to that. Anyway I deleted it and no more problems. I have no idea where it came from.

I keep getting a Walmart add saying you have one $$$ give us your email + cell phone #. No thanks!
