We bought a 1976 Glastron Sea Rider V195, with a 302 Mercruiser motor in it. For some reason it's not keeping a charge. It reads less than 12 Volts. I replaced to the alternator and battery. Both are new. I have no clue what else that could be the problem. I'm also looking to put a new wiring harness in it too. I would like some input to where I can a wiring harness for it. All the help would be great. I'm new to the boating world. Thanks and have a great day. :)

Might have replaced a perfectly good alternator. Charge the battery and test the charging system. Should give you 14 volts at high idle. If it doesn't going to have to check the wiring. If it does, need to check for a parasitic drain or something is staying on like a bilge pump.

Do ya have a service manual?

Yes we a service manual. I'm going to a freind check all the wiring for me. Right know I'm in Iraq. I recall looking at a wire that went to the bilge pump straight to the battery. I'm thinking that might be the problem. Thanks for the help. :)
