What's Your Annual Avg. Rainfall/Snow?

My annual average rainfall varies from 25" near downtown Vancouver, WA. to as much as 120" 35 miles further east and north near the Cascade Mountains (per US Soils Conservation Service). Where I live it's around 55" per year and right now I'm cold and wet. We're expecting 3 feet of new snow on Mt.Hood this week. We only get snow in the valley once a year or so and it's usually gone after a few days.

How much annual rain or snow do you get?

Rain: not enough... less than 17" a year for the last five years - we're down to less than 40% dam capacity and planning on desalination plants which will do nothing for our greenhouse emissions and also f-up our local waterways. Bad decision, bad local government - basically altogether bad. Our population has gone from 2.5 million when I was a kid to almost 6 million now. Rain? Can we have some of yours?
Snow: Not sure. Maybe there's been snow in Sydney (not Canada) but not in my lifetime (1958 model)!

Our annual "average" here is about 30". One or two inches of snow every few years. Snow lasts a few hours.

Year to date this year is just under 17". :(

Average rain? About 40" per year. Average snow between 11-20 feet per year and more on the mountain tops. Certainly enough to be annoying.

Average annual rainfall 35-40" average annual snow 200-300" (24-36 feet) This is due to the lake Ontario snow belt.

I would drown in most places you folks live. Here in a wet year we get 12" rain and negligible in the snow dept. This winter may be diferent tho. ;)

Less than 7 inches a year and it never snows. in comparison, our lakes lose about 7 vertical feet of water every year to evaporation. Gotta love the desert!

55 inches a year in rain, not enough snow to be mentioned. But IF it does snow look out!!!!

We get about 60" rain a year. It never rains very hard...just constant showers for 9 months. Just enough time in between to *ALMOST* dry out before everything is wet again.

Snow? What's that?

Actually today when I went to home depot it was dry and sunny when I went in, and SNOWING very wet when I came out. Most exciting thing that has happened all week. :D

15" a year here. We get all of our water from Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and some we steal from Northern CA. Thank god for our water issues, as it has resulted in some killer lakes . . .
