Anyone boat on Wheeler Lake? I'm going to be staying in their lodge the first week of October and thought about pulling my boat along.

Yes, we are on Wheeler at least twice a month. Wide open lake with moderate traffic. The Wheeler Lodge usually has a dinner buffet on the weekend. You can dock and eat until you are stuffed..................

If you venture onto the Elk River watch out for stumps......... First creek (near the lodge) is clear with minimal obstructions.

I may see you out on wheeler. We have a Larson 208 and are usually out on Sat or Sun from Bay Hill Marina.................

Thanks Orion25; I'm actually staying in Lodge that week so I will probably have my boat tied up down there at the dock. I'm looking forward to exploring a new lake.

Some of the best smallmouth fishing in the world below the dam, not to mention largemouth, catfish, and jack(sauger, for the rest of the world). Grew up fishing there. Skied second creek almost weekly as a kid.
