Many of you know that I have just recently purchased a 1967 Chevelle. I have been shopping for wheels and had decided on 17X8" American Aluminum polished Torque Thruster II`s. I have found these wheels made by Coy Wheels in the same size, same price and they are chrome, (Less maintenance). The wheels in the picture are 17X8" also. What do you all think? I havn`t bought them yet and this isn`t my car, mine is light blue.

The only wheel on that ride (you lucky SOB...what motor?) that looks cool is the old style Cragers or American Mags. What ya want looks damn fine to me. Just don't put those horrendous dubs with bicycle size tires on...that stuff looks like a steaming pile of ship

Re: Wheels

This is the actual car in question, I have to give the rally`s back to my son whom I purchased the car from. He loses interest fast in things, and I have aquired many cars from him in the past. I have always turned them for a profit after fixing them up but this one I plan on keeping for a bit.

Re: Wheels

I like 'em too. I think those are the kind of wheels I'm going to put on my truck when the tires wear out. Have you checked ebay yet? Torque thrusters and all the copies are all over...

Re: Wheels

The gangsters around here are into later 70s or early 80s type cars. They use that style of wheel and tire on them.
And I really think they look Sharp!
I will be going right by a car stereo shop tomorrow and take a pic and post here. One of the guys working there always has it parked in front.

Darn! I HATE learning this new software! Grrrrrr
After doing a preview I can not even see who said what!
rant over ;)

Anyway for your 67 LubeDude, myself I would get some old fashion slotted mags for it. But that may just me showing my age.
I wanted slotted mags for the Opel GT also.
But Mrs.Link fell in love with the Cromed spoked wire wheels...

I will try to post tomorrow

Re: Wheels

I really don`t like the 20" wheels on anything, I think they make vehicles look like Tonka toys. I have to admit also that it took some time for me to even like the 17" wheels but I think that`s what I`m going to get. I`ve seen several Chevelles with them and they look good.
