When did cobra out drive get cone clutch

I just read funkopolis and cobra out drive adjusment. It only refers to 1985-1989 cobra adjustment. It also says the the king cobra went to SX clone clutch in 1993. I also see cone clutch OMC cobra and king cobra drive. for sale at doug russell. My question is when did cobra get the cone clutch?

I think it was in 1994 that it was redesigned to use the Volvo style cone clutch. The Kings got the cone clutch earlier.

I know that the 7.5 Kings went to the cone clutch in 1990, mine are 89's and are still the clutch dog type.
