With my tester on ohms my needle does'nt move when testing my blue wire to ground. Does this mean my stator is bad?

What are you working on?

Put the two leads from the meter together on a lower Ohms scale and it should show zero. Then you know the meter is working before doing any testing.

Of course we need more information about what you are trying work on for starters. However, I would think that most any stator you would be testing, that it shouldn't be reading to ground. That would mean the windings are compromised and shorted to ground somewhere. But we really need more info for that to be the issue...

I have no spark on a 92 mercury 60 hp. Rectifier was bad and replaced that. Still no spark. Tested trigger with ohm meter. all within range. Red wire from stator reads around 115 ohms from wire to grnd. Blue wire is reading nothing from wire to grnd. Needle does not move from the position it is in prior to connecting to blue wire and grnd.
