When to fog?

How long should an engine go without fogging when it is unused? I have a 4.3 Mer and put up dry so antifreeze is not an issue. We have days in Dec and late Feb when the temp is in the 50's and I would like to be on the water but don't really want to overfog. Any opinions/advice?

Re: When to fog?

Fogging oil is just a thin oil sprayed into the internals of the engine. It burns off in the cylinders almost as soon as the motor is started. I've never heard of over fogging an engine.
