Where Can I buy a GOOD fuel bulb?

I'm tired of wasting my money on these dang POS fuel bulbs from walmart. I've been in the process of completely redoing my fishing rig, and figured I would check bulb for leaks or sucking in of air, well had a leak on one the crimp hose clamps. So I removed crappy clamp and replace with a good one, well this time I remove hose from engine and leave engine end of hose plugged. I can hear the fuel sucking into the bulb and then squirting right back into the fuel tank (this is a new bulb and hose setup also). Isn't the bulb supposed to be like a check valve? So now that I'm in debt from buying a new bulb every year, I was wondering if there is, or someone makes a bulb that really works and maybe even last more than one year? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks guys

If you have a WestMarine or Boaters World near you I'd check and see what they have.

I think I have the same problem...

I've been using two original bulbs with my two motors, vintage 1995 and 1985. I have replaced the hoses over the years, but not the bulbs. Bought a cheap one from kmart about 5 years ago to keep as a spare, its still in the package.

I would suggest you get a good soft "rubber" one from the manufacturer. Gonna cost about 3x the price.

The best ones on the market are built by BRP/OMC. They have two sizes to accomodate 5/16ths or 3/8ths fuel line!! Mercurys are good but the best is Johnson/Evinrudes...!!!

My vote is for the OMC, hands down. I have run through a bunch of types and the OMC will outlast them all.

There are a few things that have no substitute, and this is one of them (anodes is another!)

Bollard

I might go along with the bulb, but anodes are zinc, and if the holes line up, well, one is as good as another. Zinc is Zinc

Thanks for the tip. My genuine Tohatsu bulb was great. Last two aftermarket bulbs $12 each were junk, don't pump up hard, leak back. I'm buying OMC 775638 which is the 5/16 bulb or an original Tohatsu.
