Where can I find a block for a Ford 2.3 in a Bayliner Capri?

Does anyone know what vehicles used this engine? I am planning on using a vehicle block, rebuilding it with the marine parts and then putting it back in the boat. Are there any other engines that will replace the ford 2.3?

I've got 3 shortblocks sitting in the garage. I'm in Ky if you can find a way to get them. One is a regular auto block and the other 2 are turbo blocks. You'd have to plug the turbo oil return in the block but the turbo blocks are thicker in the cylinder walls. I play with 2.3 turbos. 2 of them would need to be bored. One is usable as is and has the factory forged pistons and turbo rods. We've made over 400hp on the stock bottom end so I think it'd handle a boat alright.

very cool pic :)

Ford Mustang of similar vintage to the boat would be a candidate for a long block.
I suspect the marine camshaft is unique, but otherwise, the basic rotating assembly should be the same. Replace the tin core plugs with brass ones.
Then swap ALL marine components over.
ALL.
