a prop with a spun hub can be fixed.

Old props can be found at boat junk yards andyou can probably buy them new. Your prop size is stamped on the prop, probably near the hub--it will look like "17x8"

First of all the motor is the same as the Evinrude/Johnson motors of that era.
They use a shear pin.If its broken the prop won't move.
You need to confirm the motor is shifting correctly. Shifting with the motor off you may have to rotate the prop to get it into gear.
If the prop works at low speeds but slips as you go faster it may have a spun hub.Tell us more details.

A spun hub usually doesn't make a noise.
Describe the noise.
You may be able to have the hub replaced at a prop shop.
If you contact Michigan wheel They can tell you what the numbers mean.
I did mine over the internet. Maybe you can phone.
I think a prop for a 59 Evinride or Johnson will fit.
There are 2 sizes here 11 1/2 " and a 12".
It might be better to get the prop fixed and do somne test runs so we can get base line of your performance.
Answer the questions in the stickys at the top of the prop forum.
A gps is good to find the speed. Some cells have a gps app.
If you need to change props you can keep the old one for a spare.

Where can i find a propeller? Usually on a boat motor down near the bottom, or on the front of airplanes also on my beanie.

Sorry couldn't resist. Hope you get it fixed OP. :)
