Where can I find cheap, dependable engine marine parts (e.g. camshaft, brass freeze plugs, stainless steel headgaskets, etc). And the upper drive gaskets for a mercruiser.

Thanks in advance.

Try Mercruiser Parts or Marine Parts

I have ordered from both. Marine Parts was the last place I ordered from and they beat all the prices that Mercruiser Parts had.

Your local NAPA autoparts store can get aftermarket parts.

Hello, eBasic power.com works for me.I have ordered from them at least five times. Great prices, fast shipping. Very good service overall. They stock most anything for Merc and OMC. Most of their parts are made by GLM marine. IMHO just as good if not better than OEM. Much easier on the wallet! :D

I boats (one for you JB), JEGS, Northern auto parts, sometimes Summit. It all depends on what you are looking for. A cam and lifters set at one store may be $20.00 more then another store but then the first store may have the gasket set you need for installing that cam for half the price as the people who sold you the cam. It pays to do price comparisons and on line its to easy not to do it. If you are doing a complete rebuild (motor) I would get a Master rebuild kit from Northern. As for the drive there is a local place around here, Cobe Marine, they really know there stuff, they are also on line.
