Where do I go to get rid of Gas???

I just purchased a boat that has 30 gallons of gas in the tank. I don't know how long it's been in the tank and I though it would be best to remove it and refill. Does anybody know what kind of place I can contact to get rid of the gas?

Call a local landscaping company. They'll be happy to run it in their mowers...

contact the city or county garbage/refuse department, they should have a hazardous material disposal site, and put you in the right direction. i do run it in my 12hp mower also.

Florida is a bit out of my neighborhood, otherwise I would stop on by to fill the lawn mower, leaf blower, wife's car and the motorcycle.

Any lawn eguiptment will run fine on older gas...i would fill up some cans and give it a try..At 3 bucks a gallon thats alot of lawn mowing...

have car 1/2 full add to car plus 1 can dry gas. fig 1 can per 10-15 gallons should have no problem do not use in 2 stroke with dry gas .

Great response from all of you and I really appreciate your suggestions. I'll try all of them, especially filling up the car half way and adding fresh gas. 8)

Not in my wife's car!!! I am her personal roadside assistant and that might just come back to bite me! I would run it in a mower.

Dumping crap gas into your car at some reasonable dilution level is the way to go. Modern EFI car engines will eat almost anything for a short time.

don't forget to add some fuel stabilizer ... 30 gals will be a lot of lawn cuttings : )

I'd park on a corner and sell it for two bucks a gallon or maybe $1.75 or so. Shouldn't take too long to get rid of it.

30 empty milk jugs, a box of ammo, gun of course, a couple lawn chairs, cooler full of beer and some buddies and you'll have one heck of an evening! d

or you could mow the grass
