Where do I install the water seperator

I am installing a water seperator on my 1997 130hp Johnson, but I have doubts on where to install it. Should I install it before or after the priming bulb? What are the draw backs of one or the other? Also, should I keep the 3/8 hose or reduce it to 5/16?<br /><br />Thanks.

I install 'em before the priming bulb. Normally I would mount it on the transom, under the splash well and then run the fuel line up to the engine with the priming bulb in the splash well so it's accessable.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty
