There is a on/off switch on the cowl and a red kill switch in the tiller. Where do these wires go to on the motor? Someone before me tried to bypass them and now i do not know where the wires go to, the wires are there but they just dangle inside the cowl of the motor. Obviously i have no spark because of this. I believe There Are 4 wires, 2 from the on / off switch and 2 from the red switch where should these wires lead to?
Thanks

Lots Of Great Info At That maxrules.com But couldnt find what im looking for. I need to know which terminals the Tiller kill-switch wires goes to on the switchbox and where the "motor on / off switch" wires run to.

I have a 1990 25hp with electric start. The black wires from each switch go to an engine ground screw. The black/yellow wires go to the black/yellow wire connection on the switch box.Hope this helps.

OK just to get this straight: The BLK/YEL Terminal On the Switchbox Will Have The BLK/YEL Wire From The Stator, The BLK/YEL Wire From The "Motor Run switch", And BLK/YEL Wire From The Kill Switch = 3 Wires On That One Terminal. The Two Black Wires Are Nothing More Than Grounds Running To The Block.

The Switchbox Should Only Have One Wire Running To Each Of The Other 3 Input Terminals From The Reaming 3 Stator Wires On It, Correct?

Thanks So Much By The Way

That is correct, only one wire on each of the other (5) five terminals.

O.K. Thats All Wired Up. Still No Spark
So Im Getting Proper Voltage To The Inputs Of The Switchbox From The Stator, But I Have Nothing Going From The Output Of The Switchbox To Either Coils.
Is That A Good Chance The Switchbox Itself Is Malfunctioning?
Voltage Into Switchbox, No Voltage Out Of Switchbox. I Think Its Safe To Say There Is A Problem Inside That Switchbox. Or The Killswitch Is Shorted And That Was The Reason They Were All Hacked Up And "Bypassed" To Begin With
Any Thoughts?

OK I Got Spark!
The New Thing Is My Kill Switch And On/Off Switch Dont Control Or Shut Off The Motor. It Still Sparks Even In The Off Position. They Are On The Same Ground As My Coils, If They Were On There Own Separate Ground Do You Think They Would Regain Their Function?

Here is a page from the manual showing the ground connections on the switch box.Make sure you have continuity through the kill and stop switch when either one is depressed.I would also remove the coils and other ground connections to ensure that they are getting a good ground.Hope this helps.Switch Box.jpg
