Thanks Boomyal, I would love to get some of the stuff.<br /><br />Oh, back to my original post...do you know whether the foam skins up around the rope, or will it have a surface like when you cut the foam. Seems like the skinned up surface would be more waterproof.<br /><br />Thanks again,<br />Joe
That's where the application instructions come in. I am not finished with the foaming yet. I undercalculated the volume plus I only got about 60% expansion out of the foam I did buy. I've only foamed the front part, over the 'rope'. <br /><br />As my boat sits outside, it it subject to the condensing dew and now the high humidity from the rain. Waiting for my new batch of foam, the exposed 'rope' has shrunk both in diameter and length. That's just the start of the process it would undergo when subject to liquid moisture.<br /><br />Now I will have to remove the 'rope' in the unfoamed parts of the boat, reapply it, then foam immediately. It's my expectation that the rope performed as calculated, in the first foamed section. I will actually explore into the passageways where the original rope emerges from the first foaming. That will tell the story.
