I have a 1989 Seaswirl with OMC 5.7 in it. Replaced the points with ignitor electronic module and flamethrower coil. It does not have a ballast resistor but a resistor wire. The new ignitor says to connect the red + wire before the resistor wire or after ignition. I can not find where this goes to connect to the other(non coil) end. I just need to know where to connect the red wire. Also how do I tell if I have a shift interupter? Instuctions say if I do I need to install diode fix.
