Where does the momentary button for starter go on 71 Johnson?

Hello all. I just bought an electric start kit off eBay for my '71 20 horse. I got the starter, solenoid, and neutral safety switch hooked up and mounted to the engine in their respective locations but I am baffled as to where my starter button goes. The starter button that came with the kit looks identical to the kill button that is mounted on the front right side of the motor. I can't seem to find and openings to mount this starter button to though. I know I could go buy a 6 post key switch that would start and kill the motor and mount it in the hole the kill button is in but if this start button will mount somewhere I'd like to just use it. Also, was wondering where the battery cables come through the cowling at. I currently have no openings to run them through short of drilling a hole. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Upon further thought, I've changed my mind completely. I think I will go with a keyed switch. I still need advice as to where to run my battery cables through the motor housing. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to drill the hole in the same location the factory would have for my engine model. Model number is 20RL71

The factory electric start connecton is where the kill switch is located. The harness plugged into the internal harness, and had a key switch located on a dash by the steering and thrittle controls.

With the retro fit kit, the start button could be placed anywhere that you would want to put it.
