Where is the best place to mount VHF Antenna on Pontoon Boat?

I have a 36" Shakespear Stainless 4400 Antenna.

Do you have a bimini top?

The top will not effect radio reception but it may get in the way.

Otherwise, I'd mount it on the rail-forward.

Yes i do have a Bimini Top.

Now i have the Shakespear 4400 36" Stainless Antenna and its mounted on the starboard side of my console. I am having a hard time picking up anyone and if im stereo is on it cut it out.

Get the antenna away from the console. There are probably speakers there too.

Move the antenna to one of the rails-forward.
