I have a 63' evinrude 75 hp electric shift. I have been looking for the normal holes with the gouges, however i cannot find them. there are two holes above the cavitation plate, one on each side, and there is a airspace between the lower 1/2 of the lower unit (kinda a shroud). I am wanting to test the water pump to see if it is circulating.

also, there is a hole, appears to be exhaust in the center back side near the powerhead.

I got the darned thing running, now it's time to go to the water.
thanks,
requa.

Don't have a 75, but the 40 hp models for that era have the water intake hanging down from the cavitation plate to the rear of the propellor, in a sharp V enclosure having a mesh filter.

A special Tempo flusher (part # 380020) is required to run it from a garden hose.
