Hi, I've had a no spark issue on my 96 Johnson 50hp 2 cylinder outboard. My first diagnostic tests directed me to replace the rectifier and the stator. Still no spark. To test the stator, and power pack, where do I attach the DVA multimeter probes? I originally disconnected the stator from the power pack and tested on the stator side. Resistance measurements good. DVA measurement Brown to Ground, and Brown/Yellow to Ground, both gave no voltage reading. Please give me some advice.
Thanks

Covered the basics? open air gap spark tester, battery tested, all leads cleaned/sandpapered, starter spinning motor "smartly" (300 rpm or so)....

Thanks, I'll do the basics again, then re test with DVA multimeter. Do I make a cut in each wire, and apply the probe to a bare section of wire?

a quick look at the CDI site ,and i think you don't measure DVA voltage to ground, and if using a DVA adapter i think meter is set to DC volts, and just push test leads into 5 pin plug
