I have been reading for days about the floatation foam and I believe what I will want is the 4lb density 2 part foam for under the plywood glassed over floor. What brand or where are you guys getting this foam at? I have a 16' skiboat that is having this project done.

Re: Where to buy 2 part foam

I just purchased some for a project on my boat.
Illsteet was the company name. They are out of Charleston,SC
They have different densities and amounts.
Shipping was quick and price wasn't bad either.

I have 4 qts (unopened) purchased from this very site ^^^, that I didnt use on a recent build. I'll take what I paid for them and possibly save you a couple buck on shipping.

Re: Where to buy 2 part foam

I promote iboats to every boat owner i meet and talk to.....This is the by far the best DIY forum on the planet. Just recently did my foam in my boat and was going to buy from iboats...but US Composites had the same foam for half the price. Not sure why iboats can not compete with their price, as big as it is.

Sorry iboats not trying to promote another vendor.......Wish you could have better (more) competive prices.

Yup, iBoats has the 2 lb density foam in gallon kits. I'm not sure they have any of the higher densities.

US Composites offers the higher densities and packaging and pricing in the larger volume amounts.
