Does anyone have a source for the fuel lines on a 1990 Evinrude 70hp? Can i just go to the hardware store and use that fuel line or does it need to be preformed and marine grade? My problem is at full throttle I have to keep pumping the primer bulb in order to keep it running, so i want to replace what i can only assume are the original lines to the motor before i try a fuel pump, have already checked all the boatside fuel lines and problem remains. thanks in advance for any help.

Not a bad idea to change all the fuel line at this point. But your real problem isn't the fuel lines. I suspect a fuel pump is going to fix your problem. You can use fuel line from an auto parts store or even go to a marina and buy some.

You may want to consider repl some of the hoses with factory hoses. There are a number of hoses on that engine that have been assigned part numbers by OMC. That means the hose needed to be heat-bent at the factory so that the hose would flow fuel, while bent in a tight radius. If you use bulk hose in these applications, it can kink when bent, possibly causing a fuel restriction and the potential for a lean condition.

Is there a source online to find the OMC fuel lines for that? Everything I search seems to just brings up boat side fuel hoses.

The factory parts website is: epc.brp.com Look for your year/model engine and then look for the fuel system or fuel pump diagrams. Some of these original part numbers have been superceded to newer EPA hose material, but if you give an Evinrude dealer the original number, they will convert it to the most current p/n for you.
