Where to buy Zodiac accessories online?

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forums but I've been reading around here for a while. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to buy Zodiac accessories such as rod holders, benches etc. My boat is a new Zodiac Typhoon 310s. I looked at the rod holders on here, but none of them said anything about being for inflatables.

Thanks in advance

It depends on where you want to mount the rod holders. Some types are fairly universal and can be mounted on a hard flat surface, in an inflatable that's generally only the transom unless you have a center console. I haven't seen any rod holders that mount to the tubes.

On my boat I bolted a short section of stainless steel tube to the transom and I use that as a mount for a standard plastic three-tube "rocket launcher" type holder. It's not exactly elegant but it works:

Without mentioning competitors to this site, google around a bit I'm sure you'll get some ideas of who carries inflatable accessories.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. If you're referring to fish hooks, that's not a problem in my experience. On my boat (1100 denier hypalon) you'd really have to push a hook in deliberately to even make a mark on the surface.

However, I make sure not to drop any hooks (or other small objects) on the deck as they might work their way down under the floorboards and cause damage over the long term.

Like all inflatable owners, I'm sure the OP will take appropriate care with sharp objects :)

Hahaha.....

I not only fish from my Zodiac, I fish for Thresher Sharks and Makos.....

I just gaff'em in the head and tow'em till they're dead.......

Biggest one so far 160lbs....... never a problem........

Re: Where to buy Zodiac accessories online?

Hi guys thanks for the replies. Jondavies, that rocket launcher setup looks pretty good. I might go with something similar. Did you put some sort of sealant around the bolts to stop water leaking in around them? I tried googleing a lot for Zodiac-specific accessories but couldn't find anything. But with a setup like yours, I could pretty much just buy any of the Scotty rodholders from Walmart.

As for paulposts comment, I'm not concerned the slightest about fish hooks puncturing my boat. We're talking about heavy duty Zodiacs, not blow up dinghies from walmart. I don't think paul has ever been in one or he'd know. P.s. paul it's 'rude' not 'rood'. Thank you

Re: Where to buy Zodiac accessories online?

I attached the post for the rod holders with two existing bolts that were already in the transom (they're the ends of U bolt for lifting the boat). If you drilled new bolt holes I'd definitely seal them (epoxy or some kind of 3M sealant) to keep the water from penetrating the transom.

BTW if you want to go the more expensive route, you could invest in an arch for your boat (either pre-made or custom) such as this one:

They provide a great mounting point for all kinds of accessories like rod holders, lights, radios, fishfinders, antennas etc.

Tell that to the dozens of 3 lb+ smallmouth I've caught and released from my MKIIC.
