Where to find a telltale fitting for my 75hp Evinrude?

I currently use this fitting with plastic hose(ice maker hose, I think) as my telltale.

The hose has melted on me before when water got too hot(water inlets were partially clogged with seaweed).

I need a plastic or brass fitting to replace it. I can't use the 90 degree elbow(listed in the "how to add a telltale" thread) because I have the telltale hole on the very top of cyl #1. It's too tight in that area to rotate the elbow and screw it in.

I need a straight fitting....possibly barbed...so I can simply slide the rubber hose over the barb, and hose clamp it.

So far Iv'e been able to get any brass fitting I need at Lowe's; Home Depot may have the same selection. Good Luck

I got the brass fitting I'm using at Lowes. I didnt find what I needed to extend my existing fitting higher(so a 90 degree fitting could be used....and couldn't find a barbed fitting in the correct size.

I've finally found a solution

I'm going to have to put a couple washers on the lifting eye to shim it away from the telltale fitting cause it currently protrudes into the telltale fitting.
