I'm trying to find some parts for our 92 stingray and I called a couple dealers and they said they can not get parts for a boat that old. Its not like its from the 60's or something. Looking for some trim pieces. Any other place you guys know of.

Re: Where to find older parts

The reason it's difficult to find things like trim is that boats typically aren't fixed after a crash like a vehicle would be so the parts aren't usually available as reproduction pieces, just NOS. Things like rubrails, handrails and the like can be replaced with generic aftermarket pieces. Boat specific trim???check on ebay, there's a sticky on here about boat "junkyards", and Craigslist.

Don't forget your 1992 is 19 years old....

You didn't say what parts you need. Many hardware items can just be replaced with new ones. Upholstery items can simply be home made. Go to Ebay for odd items.

The 60's??? One of mine is a 1952 and I can still get parts for it. Your problem is that its too new!
