Where to get clear laminate?

I was thinking about getting a clear laminate to prevent the cowl from getting scratched. (like the ones used on cars, mostly hoods).

Where can I get it? Anyone else has done it?

You mean a stick on decal to prevent scratching? I would guess it would require a specially made one in order to contour to the cowl. I've never seen any kind of stick-on on a car hood, so I'm at a loss. You could always give it a couple of coats of clear coat paint or roll and tip a coat of epoxy on it (not sure if the epoxy method is viable, though).

I want to cover the whole cowl. I think you can into pieces ans then cover it.
I thought about clearcoating it with a quality 2K automobile clear, but I'm not sure if the decals will react to it.
