Mercury has discontinued manufacture of my rubber pressed prop hub because the motor is so old. This has caused a lot of stress trying to find one. I have a 1964 Mercury Kiekhaefer 6 hp. I have called many prop shops listed on the internet with no success of finding this hub. Do any of you know of any shops for me to contact to see if they have this part? I believe the part number is 91721 (maybe). I suppose I will need to find somebody with new old stock.

If I am ultimately unable to locate the part, can good prop shops mold a new one for me?

Did you try www.hmshubs.com? They sell just about every hub ever made. They list a VS59, VS49, and VS18 for various small Mercs.

If you can not get the correct hub then you are limited to finding a used prop on the auctions or "pinning" the exiating prop, similarly to this one..
