I'm replacing the riser on my 3.0 VolvoPenta and it's not clear to me what the positioning of the Bellows and the 2 upper hose clamps should be relative to the riser. Should the bellows be pushed all the way up and both hose clamps placed on the neck (in attached picture positions A&B for the hose clamps) or, should the bellows be aligned so that the upper clamp goes on the outer wall neck and the lower clamp goes on the neck with the grooves that is the termination of the inner wall (Positions B&C for hose clamps)?
It nicely fits using B&C positioning but it seems to me that would be very restrictive for water flow and is likely supposed to be worked up and both clamps on the upper neck portion but, I didn't engineer it and want to be sure to place it correctly. The bellows I have has a bump out in the middle, sort of like a half tube going around the center of it it. My guess is that that should be aligned with the lower grooved piece (C in the picture) to allow better water flow but again, I'm not sure.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
