Hi,

I have a 70 horse chrysler outboard motor on my old 1973 crestliner tri-hull. it DOES NOT have power tilt/trim..the only way to tilt the engine is by pulling out a long pin and re-insert it into a different set of holes, either close to or farther away from the back of the boat.

My question is this. there are 4 different positions for me to trim the motor. I most often take the boat out on two rivers the mississippi river and the black river both of which are fairly choppy and heavy with boat traffic. Where should I trim my boat out at? the back is fairly heavy with a 10 gallon gas tank, battery, outboard engine, and some life jackets all stored back there.

What do you guys think?

Dan
