I have been struggling to find a head for my 1984 65HP Commercial motor. Id like to upgrade to a 70HP head.. A guy on this site said that will fit for sure.. Below is what the head gasket will fit, however im not sure if they will work on a 65. Ive looked all over on ebay, and i found one at MAXXIS engines but they sold it before i had a chance to buy it..

Let me know if there are some sites / or boneyards that might have one.

* 55 HP 1968-1969
* 60 HP 1970-1971
1986-1988
* 65 HP 1972-1973
* 65 HP Comm. 1984-1986
* 70 HP 1974-1985
* 75 HP 1975

Try tcoutboards.com, marinepartsoutlet.com, theoutboardwizard.bizhosting.com for starters.

A quick search of the brp parts catalog shows your head (323681) is the same used on:
'84-'87 60, 65 and 75hp engines
'79-'84 70 and 75hp engines
But I really would like to have a model number to be certain.

I suppose the ones earlier than that didn't have the bosses DHadley mentioned. You can take anything he says to the bank. But I'm not seeing anything special about the 70hp head.
