I'm looking for the model number on my 1992? 70hp evinrude. I was told it was on the transom brackett or the welch plug. Didn't or couldn't see the plug, and the transom looks to have been painted. Would it be on something that may have been tore off?
I'm trying to order a rectifier and there seems to be three different sets of letters ending the model number. I'm so irritated!!!

Re: Where's my model number?!

Not to point out the obvious but there should be a part number on the rectifier itself.
My model number is on the right (drivers side) of the transom, you may need to take some paint off to find it, hate when people don't do things right, not to hard to put some tape on it.
Good luck, repost if you can't find it.

numbers off the rectifier are 30 h o-ao. This doesn't seem to be a part number to me. I did find a welch plug with the numbers G2523511. Could this be a serial number?

Sorry, mine had the part number printed right on it and that looks like a serial number to me.
