i know this sounds stupid, but i've only had the boat three days and have so far been unsuccessful in finding a switch that turns on the live wells on my 1998 2450 eagle. i'd really appreciate some assistance with this, especially since the wife and kids are out of town this weekend. i plan on fishing all weekend, having the live wells functioning correctly would be really nice.

thanks in advance!

Re: where's the switch for the live well?

I have a 1992 Eagle 196 with dual live wells and they are controlled by a switch marked "acc" on the switch panel with the other switches. If yours is set up like mine the pump maybe burnt out or siezed up because it sits in the bottom of the bilge right in the very back of the transom and if there isn't a protective screen over the intake the pump will suck in weeds and usually dies. I hope this helps. If you have the dual live wells like mine they both run off of one pump.

Re: where's the switch for the live well?

I would imagine you checked to make sure there is power to the switches. On my boat each switch has a fuse in a holder built into the switch panel but some of my components also run off of fuses behind the access door in the cabin. I don't know if this was factory or if the previuos owner set it up that way. The last 2 boats I have had have had the pumps burnt out because of seaweed in them. From the out side of the boat look at the bottom of the transom and you see the drain plug hole and next to it is the intake for the live wells. If the pump is bad it isn't near as difficult to change as it appears.:D
