Well it finally happened. Drive shaft bellows developed a leak. I believe it was my fault as I started the motor with the drive in the trailor position.
I started searching replacement transom seal kits and came across Mallory, Sierra, GLM , QuickSilver....etc. Prices ranged from $80 on Ebay for GLM (I think) to $200+ for Quicksilver. Is there justification for spending the extra on QS or are they all made from the same mfg. and reboxed under whatever name. I would appreciate any comments on the brand you decided to use.
Thanks,
Paul
Also, I think I should replace the u-joints while I'm at it. Someone said that there is a direct automotive part that could be used. Any opinions? Part #'s ?
