Hi,

Can anyone help me to identify which carb this is? It is on a Mercruiser 3.0 Lt, Petrol inboard engine. I need to purchase a new one but am unable to get any number of this carb that makes sense to the store.

Ayuh,.... Ya got a serial number for the motor,..??

'bout what vintage are We talkin',..??

It's either a Merc-carb, or a Rochester, looks like 1 idle air screw,...

Looks like merccarb but single idle screw will give it away. Also need the check the bore size and bolt pattern if you take it off. Is there any numbers stamped directly under the gas line? Or who cares what carb that's on there now, look up the engine serial number and find out what should go on there.

Hi Jorma.
I think its the same carb as I have: Original Mercarb 860070A2 with ONE single idle screw (fuel/air screw what shall be about 1-1,5 turn out from bottom)
18-7370N is a replacement number for the above original.
If you have a mercruiser below years 1995 (? about) it will most likely be 860070A2.
Bolt pattern C/C is 3 3/4 " x 2" (95x50 mm)
I bought this 3310-860070A2 for a month ago - mercurymarine-europe about 750 Euro.
860070A2 was used on inline fours 120, 140 and inline six engines with same jets!
And this suprise me..for me its logical to have smaller jets on smaller engines.
Regards Guuben from Finland to Jorma (in Finland?)

PS. If you have time to waite, buy the carb from US....much cheaper. Buy 18-7370N and take a remanufactured (or new) ....you save a lot of money.

Many many thanks guys. I will take the carb of and have a closer look.

Guuben, Fantastic info. many many thanks. I am in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Speaking to a USA company as i type this so your info has been invaluable. My vessel is 1990 so looks to be very accurate info.
